Second Level Creative Communication for Cultural Heritage course

The Course has a single curriculum and aims to provide highly specialized training to those professionals who will go on to carry out valorization activities within or in collaboration with public or private institutions.

For this reason, the Course is designed to provide students with a range of skills in the different communication sectors, from traditional areas to the new media, enabling them to develop the necessary professional skills to carry out valorization cultural heritage activities. Particular importance is given to exhibition projects considering museums  and exhibitions as the main communication tools of cultural heritage.

The training activities are carried out in the form of lectures, tutorial groups, workshops, seminars and courses which are held in collaboration with museums such as the Poldi Pezzoli Museum, which participates with its entire staff and external designers.
Particular importance is given to internships, which offer the student an outstanding opportunity to complete their training with a real and practical contact with the world of work. The Accademia has long established relations with museums, institutions, galleries and companied operating in Italy in the field of Cultural Heritage.

Graduates with a First Level Academic Diploma in the Valorization of Cultural Heritage disciplines have automatic admission to the Course.  Graduates from the three year desgree courses L-1, L-3, L-5, L-10, L-17 and L-19, L-20, L-21, L-42 are required to undertake an aptitude interview. Information relating to deadlines for the submission of applications, the planning of interviews and enrollment is available on the Accademia website.

Future Employment Prospects

The cultural training obtained during the two year course will allow the graduate to carry out a range of different professional roles and activities: a creative professional in the planning, design and coordination of museum communication programmes, in the creation of exhibitions, as well as in the planning and creation of cultural trails in archaeological sites, natural and “literary” parks, in the planning of itineraries and initiatives for cultural tourism, in the creation of campaigns and promotions, in the organization of complex events such as festivals and fairs , in the research, development and creation of specific initiatives and institutional communication activities of cultural heritage organizations. Moreover, the graduate will have a 360° vision of cultural heritage and be able to plan, coordinate and if need be, carry out activities such as photographic documentation and report campaigns.
