Documentation for foreign students

In view of the publication for the new Announcement for grant applications for the academic year 2020-2021, we would like to inform those students with a foreign based income or an income generated in Italy and in a foreign country of the documentation required (this information is not pertinent for those students whose household income was generated exclusively in Italy in 2018 and 2019).

It should be noted that the dates for submitting the application have yet to be defined, but students should prepare the necessary documentation as set out below in advance, considering the waiting times at the Italian Embassies of the students’ countries of origin.

The information is pertinent only for those students who will attend the current year at the Accademia, requesting the benefit for the academic year 2020-2021.

  • those students who are attending the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of a three year degree course, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th year of a Five year course or the 1st or 2nd year of a two year specialization course ARE ELIGIBLE
  • those students who enroll in the fourth year of the three year degree course, the third year of the two-Year specialization course or the sixth year of the five year course ARE NOT ELIGIBLE as they outside the prescribed study time
  • those students who enroll in the year of thesis work ARE NOT ELIGIBLE

EXCEPTION to the year outside the prescribed study time but not to the thesis year: Applies only to students with a disability equal to or greater than 66%. They can apply for this additional year.

Furthermore, students are reminded that it is not possible to apply for a grant or a scholarship if they have already attended a/any year of study, even if that year of study has not been concluded, and then re-enroll in a same level course as from the first year (the terms and conditions regarding the Five Year Restoration Course are slightly different, and students are invited to consult the Announcement for the Academic Year 2020-2021 for details)

This year will see an extension to the time frame for the delivery of the documentation in its original format, so those students who do not have the necessary documentation within the times set out will not be able to request any extension.
