Domenico Quaranta è critico d’arte contemporanea, curatore e docente. La sua ricerca si concentra sulle reciproche interferenze tra tecnologia, cultura e società, e su come cambiano la nostra visione dell’umano e la nostra idea di mondo. I suoi testi sono comparsi in numerose riviste, giornali, libri e cataloghi. É autore, tra l’altro, di: Media, New Media, Postmedia (Milano 2010; 2018), Surfing con Satoshi. Arte, blockchain e NFT (Milano, 2021), Net Art. Scritti sull’arte nell’era dell’informazione (Milano, 2023) e curatore di diversi volumi, tra cui GameScenes. Art in the Age of Videogames (Milano. 2006, con M. Bittanti). Dal 2005 ha curato diverse mostre, tra cui Collect the WWWorld. The Artist as Archivist in the Internet Age (Brescia 2011; Basilea e New York 2012); Cyphoria (Quadriennale 2016, Roma, Palazzo delle Esposizioni); Hyperemployment (MGLC, Ljubljana 2019 – 2020) e Salto nel vuoto. Domenico Quaranta is a contemporary art critic, curator and teacher. His research focuses on the mutual interferences between technology, culture and society, and on how our understanding of the human and our sense of the world evolve. His texts have appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers, books and catalogs. He is the author, among other things, of: Beyond New Media Art (Brescia, 2013); Surfing with Satoshi.
