IartNET | Project Funding Opportunities, Erasmus+ Mobility and Digitisation: Practical Tools for the Internationalisation of Higher Music Education Institutions

29–31 January 2026

INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP

As part of the PNRR project IartNET – an international platform for artistic practice/research and cultural heritage at Italian higher arts education institutions, the Conservatorio “Luca Marenzio” in Brescia, in collaboration with the AEC – European Association of Conservatoires, announces a three-day international workshop on European funding opportunities and Erasmus+ mobility processes in higher music education, to be held on 29–31 January 2026. The event is organized within the framework of the IartNET project, funded by NextGenerationEU and coordinated by Brera Academy.

The workshop offers a comprehensive and practice-oriented exploration of key EU programmes and tools that support international cooperation, project development, and student and staff mobility. Participants will be guided by experienced practitioners and experts through a combination of presentations, interactive discussion groups, and hands-on demonstrations, gaining both strategic insight and operational skills. A special focus will be given to the EASY MO system, the AEC’s European Application System for Mobility in Higher Music Education.

On 29 January, the workshop will focus on European project funding opportunities, including Creative Europe, Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), Jean Monnet Actions, International Credit Mobility (KA171), and University Alliances, with IN.TUNE presented as a concrete example in the music field. Participants will work in groups to reflect on how these funding lines can support their own institutional strategies and project ideas.

On 30–31 January, the programme will address Erasmus+ mobility, providing in-depth sessions on KA131 rules, shared principles, and implementation challenges for student and staff mobility. These sessions will include extensive EASY MO training, featuring practical demonstrations of semester mobility applications, digital learning agreements, short mobilities, and Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs).

The workshop is designed for staff of higher music education institutions working in international relations and Erasmus+ office management, who wish to strengthen their understanding of the European funding landscape while gaining practical tools for day-to-day implementation. Sessions dedicated to the EASY MO system serve as intensive training for internal users, while sessions on project funding and mobility are open to any IRC who missed the dedicated sessions at the IRC Meeting in Budapest.
