Fees, taxes and financial contributions for the Preparatory Course

The Preparatory Course is an internal training course only for the Schools of Painting-Sculpture-Graphics-Decoration-Scenic Design and Artistic Planning and Design for Business combined with the School of Craftsmen and the School of Nude Art. It lasts one year and aims to prepare the students for the entrance exams to those afore-mentioned Schools.

The Preparatory Course can also be taken by those candidates admitted to First and Second Level Academic Courses with conditional “catch up courses/exams” to take as provided by article 8/1, paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Accademia’s Didactic Regulation.

Attendance, registering more than 80% of the number of hours and passing the final exam will lead to a settled educational situation, that is to say all catch up courses/exams are null.

Enrollment for the preparatory course takes place from the 01/09/2020 to 05/10/2020.

The Accademia obtains online from the INPS database only those ISEE certificates for University Education provided that they are without omissions or discrepancies.

The ISEE 2020 certificates with omissions or discrepancies will not be obtained by the Accademia. The student is required to ensure that there are no omissions or discrepancies, if a discrepancy arises, the student must take the necessary steps to process a new ISEE 2020.

In the event that a student does not submit a validated ISEE 2020 the maximum financial contribution will be applied.

All enrolled students must pay the Government Tax (postal money order, account 1016), Stamp duty and the Regional Tax for University Education (single Payment Notice for € 156, to be paid in the bank) by the 23RD OF OCTOBER 2020 and according to the following chart:

Students whose all-inclusive financial contribution is equal to or less than € 1,000 must pay the amount in full by the 21ST OF DECEMBER 2020.

For those amounts greater than € 1,000 the student can choose to make a lump sum payment by the 21ST OF DECEMBER 2020 or divide the payment into two instalments, the first to be paid by the 21ST OF DECEMBER 2020 and the second by the 15TH OF APRIL 2021.

• Students enrolled in the Five year Restoration Course as from the second year out of the course prescribed time (7°,8°,9° etc) are eligible for the payment of the following annual all-inclusive financial contribution

  • € 200 if the student has an ISEE certificate equal to or less than € 20,000 and attains 25 course credits for every academic year of enrollment;
  • The amount as set out in chart 8 with an increase of 50% if the student has an ISEE certificate from € 20,000 to € 30,000 (inclusive of the discounts indicated therein) and attains 25 course credits for every academic year of enrollment
  • € 1,189 if the student has an ISEE certificate equal to or lower than € 30,000 but does not have the 25 annual course credits requested.

• Students enrolled in the Five Year Restoration Course who have an ISEE certificate higher than €30,000 are eligible for the payment of the annual all-inclusive financial contribution as set out in chart 9

Income certificates and credits must be submitted to the didactic secretariat. The Tax and Contributions Office will then take the necessary steps to check whether the credits are confirmed in order to balance the annual all-inclusive  financial contribution. The Government Tax of € 102.93 is to be paid at the post office using a postal money order, account 1016.

The Accademia will not obtain ISEE 2020 certificates for the Right to University Education which contain omissions and discrepancies. The student is required to ensure that there are no omissions or discrepancies in the declaration. If a discrepancy arises the student must take the necessary steps to process a new ISEE 2020.

In the event that a student does not submit a validated ISEE 2020, the maximum financial contribution will be applied.

Admission to the five-year second level Academic Diploma in Restoration, qualifying for the profession of “Cultural Heritage Restorer” for the following profiles:

  • PFP1: Stone materials and by- products. Decorated architectural surfaces.

  • PFP2:objects painted on wooden and textile supports. Wood-carved objects. Wooden furnishings and structures Crafted, assembled or/painted objects in synthetic materials

Enrollment Procedure for Single Courses

A.Y. 20-21

It is possible to enroll in Single Courses and print the pre-paid payment slip for the relative payment only by connecting to the Accademia’s website (www.accademiadibrera.milano.it) and follow the instructions for the online Secretariat procedure.

  • High School certificate (secondary school)
  • First Level Academic Diploma or Degree
  • Second Level Academic Diploma or Master’s Degree
  • Degree or academic diploma; from the former higher education system 

The following students are not eligible for enrollment :

  • students already enrolled in the same academic year in First or Second Level Courses at the Accademia di Brera
  • students who have interrupted their studies
  • students who have suspended their studies

From the 1st of September to the 5th of October 2020

Enrolling in single courses allows you to take no more than 4 single courses in an academic year, for a maximum of three consecutive years, to take the exams and receive the normal certification.

The exams of these courses must be taken in the same year of enrollment

Only biannual THEORETICAL courses can be taken and enrollment in any programmed admission courses is not allowed.

Some examples of programmed admission courses are: Painting 1-2-3, Sculpture 1-2-3, Graphic Design 1-2-3, Decoration 1-2-3, Design 1-2-3, Scenic Design 1-2-3, Artistic Anatomy 1-2-, History of contemporary art 1-2.

Before proceeding with the choice of courses, students should consult the study programmes published on the website.

Those students who have a secondary school diploma can access the single biannual courses within the First Level training programmes

Those students who have a First level or higher Diploma can access the single biannual courses within the First and Second Level training programmes.

Those students who have Diplomas from other Accademie or Graduates who need to attend single courses not included in their study programmes, but necessary for admission to public competitions or for access into postgraduate schools can also enroll.

 

From the 26th of October to the 15th of December 2020

The student must submit the following documentation using the online procedure from their online profile ( the document must be uploaded under the relevant item)

  • Registration application from printed from students’ online profile, including a photograph
  • Self-certification of study qualification (at foot of the page)
  • Health and safety regulations form (at foot of the page)

In the absence of one of these documents students will be unable to reserve the exams
