Registration Procedure for the Entrance test to the School of Nude Art and the School of Craftsmen

For the A.A. 2020-2021 the aspiring candidate must comply with the following institutional procedure.
First of all, he / she will have to register (new student registration) and then pre-enrollment for the admission test.
Extraordinary for this year, candidates will not have to take any test, and at the end of the pre-enrollment period, all will be admitted ex officio in order to then proceed with the enrollment for 1 year.
The course does not issue any certification and can be attended for a maximum of five years.
The courses do not require attendance.
Registrations for the first year are open from the 9th of September 2020 to the 5th of October 2020.

To students who have taken on the A.Y. 19-20 in health emergency is granted, if they wish, to exceptionally enroll in a sixth year.

Enrollment Procedure for Preparatory courses
The Preparatory Course is an internal training course only for the Schools of Painting-Sculpture-Graphic Design-Decoration-Scenic Design and Artistic Planning and Design for Business, together with the School of Craftsmen and to the School of Nude Art. It has an annual duration and prepares the students for the entrance exams to the afore-mentioned Schools.
Once the preparatory course is over, the student can then pre-register for any entrance test of any of the afore-mentioned Schools.
The Preparatory Course can also be used by candidates admitted to the First and Second Level courses with outstanding exams to retake, as provided by art. 8/1 c 5 and 6 of the Didactic Regulations of the Accademia di Brera.
By attending 80% of the total hours of the Course and passing the final exam the outstanding exams to be retaken will be cancelled.
Registration for the Preparatory Course starts from the 1st of September to the 5th of October 2020.
It is possible to register and print the MAV for the relative payment only by connecting via the internet to the Accademia website www.accademiadibrera.milano.it by proceeding:
- first to registration (new student registration)
- then pre-enrollment for the admission test

- Registration application from (downloadable from the Forms section) together with a photograph and a 16 € tax stamp
- Self-certification of study qualification (at the foot of the page)

Course suspension / Interruption Procedure
A.Y. 20-21
Suspension/interruption must be requested by submitting the appropriate downloadable form found in the Forms section of the site.
In case of 1 or more years of interruption the student is required to pay, in addition to the taxes and duties for the year of enrollment, an additional 200 Euro for every year of interruption. The interruption period can not exceed 5 years.
Registration Procedure for Transfer / Change of course
A.Y. 20-21
Those students coming from another Accademia or other legally recognized Accademie are eligible for transfer for those years subsequent to the first.
Any request for transfer from another Accademia (to be addressed to the Didactic Director), much reach the Accademia di Brera from the 1st of September to the 20th of September 2020 at the address iscrizioni2@accademiadibrera.milano.it
The request, to be downloaded from the forms section on the site, must include the following documents:
In reference to the authorization concerned, the Accademia di Brera will request it directly from the Accademia of origin on basis of art. 15 of L.183/11.
The student will only have to register on the Academy website, the Secretary will subsequently enroll based on the results of the evaluation of the application.

For those applications from private but legally recognized Accademie, a detailed programme, by the managing bodies, for each discipline including the total teaching time must also be attached. The candidate must present a portfolio documenting work carried out in front of a Commission which will evaluate its eligibility and relevancy for the year requested on the day of the interview.
A Commission from the teaching institute evaluates the recognition of the studies carried out indicating:
For those students from other Institutes or Universities it is not possible to request the transfer.
The enrollment in the Accademia is subject to passing the entrance test.

It is possible to request the transition from one course to another from the 1st of September to the 20th of September 2020 by sending the relevant downloadable form to the email address iscrizioni2@accademiadibrera.milano.it.
The student must however still enroll in the academic year 2020-2021 by the 5th of October 2020, then the secretary will take the necessary steps to change the School based on the results of the interview.

Enrollments only for theses are open from the 4th of August to the 5th of October 2020
Enrollment is allowed only to students who pass all exams by the autumn session (SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER) of the previous academic year.
Enrollment does not allow the student to attend and take exams during the year.
The only exam is the discussion of the thesis in the scheduled sessions.
The February session is considered the last round of the previous year. Therefore students who have passed all exams set out in their study programme must enroll in the new academic year only to take the thesis exam.

In the absence of one of the aforementioned documents, it will not be possible to complete the pre-registration.
Anyone with a First Level diploma can enroll.
The admission with reserve is foreseen only for the students of the Accademia di Brera, as per the foreseen Didactic Regulation Title IV, 9/1: "the student can be admitted" with reserve "even if he achieves the first level qualification in the last session of the previous academic year, provided that at the time of enrollment he has completed all the exams by the autumn session (September / October) of the previous year and the degree is achieved in the last session of the previous year. enrollment in the Degree Course lapses.
The transition from the First to the Second Level of the same school, within the courses held at the Accademia di Brera, takes place directly, that is, without an aptitude interview.
For students of the Accademia di Brera coming from another school and for students coming from another academy or university, and in any case in possession of a First Level diploma, the transition takes place through an aptitude interview, and according to the provisions of the school for which registration is required with a proof of access.
